This is a homage to the Urdu poem Aamir Aziz wrote during protests against the NRC & CAA that happened in India a few months ago. The government was trying to pass a racially discriminating law when we are a secular nation. An English translation of this poem was recited by Rodger Waters of Pink Floyd to show solidarity against what was happening in India.
When we completed this track, the COVID-19 pandemic swept the world & it didn't feel right to put this out at that moment. Bringing that sentiment back in these times while citizens of the country are being ill-treated once again during the COVID-19 situation with no regard to humanity....violence by police on fruit & vegetable vendors who set up stalls (coz people still need to eat), migrant laborers having to walk on foot hundreds of miles to get back home, them sleeping under bridges and on railway tracks en route, trains started for migrant workers to travel & they had to purchase a ticket when they should really be repatriated for free by the government, horrific news of people being stuffed in trains which circled around for over 50 hrs when the journey between Mumbai & Patna is about 28hrs with no food or water provided....the list can go on about the way the citizen's of our country get treated inhumanely because of their social standing or religion.
The past week we saw the death of George Floyd, fuelled by racism. His death was heart-breaking but he will be remembered. The world is coming together to fight this injustice & racism.
This protest track is our outcry about the state of affairs in the world & we hope you share a similar sentiment & together we, the privileged people, can attempt to change things in some way for the less fortunate ones. Like Aamir says in his poem, "Sab Yaad Rakha Jaega".

This is a free to DL track. What we ask is that you share this with others if you feel the same sentiments.

Disclaimer: This is not an official collaboration with the writer of the poem, Aamir Aziz. This track is meant to be a piece of protest music & does not bring monetary benefit to any parties involved.
